Do you have any items that you never leave home without? Most of us have at least one or two items we just can’t step out the front door without making sure we have on us. With the summertime officially here, many of us are starting to spend more time outdoors, at events, and just out and about enjoying the weather. Spending more time away from home means we need to be prepared with certain items so we can be free to enjoy our days, without stressing about leaving an essential item at home. So it got us thinking about a few items to never leave home without this summer…
We probably don’t need to tell you that sunglasses are a staple in any summer wardrobe. Even if the days don’t start out with the sun shining, the summer tends to be filled with sunny days and it’s necessary to be prepared as the weather changes throughout the day. You never want to leave home without your sunnies on hand. Not only to sunglasses help to complete your favorite summertime outfits, but they’re also great for protecting your eyes from the harsh sun’s UV rays.
If you’ve been following along with our tips for a while now, you’ve probably seen us mention the importance of keeping your skin moisturized. This is especially important during the summer months. Since we’re outdoors more often, our skin tends to get dried out or even dehydrated lacking enough moisture. That being said, you don’t want to leave home without a small bottle of moisturizing product to reapply moisturizer throughout the day. This allows you to keep up with any areas in your skin that tend to get dry so the skin doesn’t get out of hand with the lack of moisture.
Refillable Water Bottle
Staying hydrated doesn’t just sound healthy–it is! Refillable water bottles are perfect to have on hand at all times to keep you well hydrated, especially as the temperatures start to rise. Not only does it make it easy to have something to drink on hand, but the refillable water bottles available now keep your beverages nice and cold for hours and hours–plus it’s much better for the environment! Your body, skin and hair will thank you for staying hydrated.
SPF isn’t just important, it’s entirely necessary to apply to your skin during the summer season. Furthermore, you can’t just apply SPF to your skin in the morning. Shocked? Experts stress that the sun protection benefits of SPF only last for 2-3 hours. So what does that mean? You shouldn’t be leaving home without SPF on hand at all times to allow you to easily reapply throughout the day. Fortunately, there are a lot of great easy to apply and keep on hand SPF products. SPF products are available from powders to compacts and even sprays–allowing you to apply them while you’re out and about, and keep them on hand easily.
