Summer is going to be here before we know it. While most of us are on the edge of our seats waiting to enjoy the summer weather, the summer also comes with a different set of skin issues that can arise for many of us. Since we’re outdoors more in the summer than the rest of the year, it’s important to make sure that you’re keeping your skin protected and really caring for it as the weather shifts. Many experts stress to plan ahead to fight summer skin issues to make sure you’re really prepared before the season approaches. Having a solid understanding of your skin’s needs during the summer is going to help you to enjoy your summer and not worry about skin issues.
Avoid Clogged Pores
Being outside more, and the warmer weather in general, our skin runs the risk of developing clogged pores a bit more easily during the summer months than it does during the other seasons. Between sweating and just being outdoors more where our skin is exposed to more dirt, oil and bacteria clogged pores can be a major ‘thing’ in the summer. So what can you do to plan ahead? Make sure that you have a great exfoliating product on hand before we make our way into the summer months, and really getting into the habit of using it. Exfoliating is an important step in anyone’s skin care routine, and it’s going to be even more important to make sure that you’re getting a deep cleanse on your pores during the summer when they tend to get clogged more easily.
Sun Protection is Essential
Naturally, the summer season is filled with sunny days and the desire to be outside enjoying them. We want you to make the most of your summer months, but we also want to be sure you’re doing so safely. Plan ahead to fight dealing with any sun damage and over exposure this summer by stocking up on the necessary SPF products in your collection. Do a check on the SPF products you have to be sure they’re not expired, if they are be sure to replace them before we get into the midst of the summer season. In addition, start getting into the habit of applying your sun protection products every day. It’s going to get more and more necessary to do so as the sun becomes more intense in the summer. Having the products on hand before the season starts will really allow you to transition into the season without worrying about running out to get SPF, or risking it and going out without any protection.
Clogged pores and sun exposure are the most common skin issues in the summer months. But if you plan ahead and have the information necessary to make sure you know what to do to avoid them, you’ll be able to enjoy the summer in a much skin-healthier way than if you didn’t. Enjoy your summer and don’t forget to plan ahead!
