Secrets To Thick, Luscious Locks

Let’s face it, we all aspire to have gorgeous hair.  It’s one of those things that so many of us can mutually agree on the fact that we desire to have nice hair.  But sometimes it can seem like it’s nearly impossible to actually HAVE that gorgeous hair we aspire to have.  Do you ever notice women with gorgeous hair and wonder what their secrets are?  Because they MUST have some hidden secrets we don’t know about – right?  Well, we’ve actually discovered some of the secrets to thick, luscious locks and we’re sharing them with you NOW.

Massage Your Scalp
You know how when you get your hair cut the hair stylist always spends time massaging your scalp while washing your hair?  Well, it turns out there are some major benefits to doing that on a regular basis.  In fact, one of the secrets is actually massaging your scalp regularly.  You may be wondering why you need to massage your scalp to get thick, luscious locks.  Well, it’s because your hair starts at your scalp, and when your scalp is healthy it allows you to have healthier hair which leads to the results you’re looking for.  So get into the routine of massaging your scalp on a regular basis, to really get the blood flowing!

Stop Washing Your Hair Daily
If you haven’t heard it before, it’s actually not that great to wash your hair on a daily basis.  The reason being is when you wash your hair you’re actually stripping your hair of its natural oils.  So when we strip our hair of its natural oils too often we’re taking a lot of moisture out of our hair, which can lead to breakage and other hair problems occurring.  So instead, get into a routine of washing your hair every other day or every couple of days – figure out a routine that works for your hair.

Don’t Use Too Much Heat
So many of us tend to use quite a bit of heat when styling our hair, between hair dryers and curling irons and everything else there’s a lot of heat going on.  Unfortunately, even if you’re using these heated styling tools with care and precaution, it’s important to make sure you’re not overdoing it.  Try to avoid using heat on your hair daily and give your hair a chance to recover from the times you do use heat.

Be gentle with your hair
We get it, when you’re in a hurry and just wanting to do your hair the last thing you’re really thinking about is how gentle you’re being.  But our hair is vulnerable and can get damaged if we’re not gentle enough with it.  Make sure you’re being gentle on your hair when styling it and especially when managing your hair when it’s wet.  For example, avoid brushing your hair when it’s wet as it can cause breakage and your hair is very vulnerable when wet.  In addition, be gentle when removing tangles from your hair, and overall treat your hair with kindness.  It will help allow your hair to heal and become thicker when you’re gentle with it.
