Storing Your Hair Styling Tools

Storing Your Hair Styling Tools

As women, most of us have quite the collection of hair styling tools.  And if we’re really honest, most of us have them in a jumbled mess where we can rarely even really get to what we need to when we’re getting ready.  It’s tricky figuring out a way to store our hair styling tools in a way that’s manageable and doesn’t take a ton of time.  But, we can all admit when we have more organization in our lives we spend less time searching for things and we’re able to accomplish what we need to in a shorter amount of time.  So if you’re struggling figuring out how to store you hair styling tools, we’re sharing some of our favorite tips.

Get an Organizer
Honestly, the most efficient way of storing your heated hair styling tools is to invest in an organizer.  You’ve probably spent more time than you care to admit untangling the cords from your styling tools in the morning.  These organizers are great because they help avoid that altogether.  There are a ton of different options available at various retailers.  Hair experts suggest storing your tools in the organizers and rolling up the cords in them to avoid the tangling.  If you don’t want to use one of the organizers that have been specifically made to hold hair styling tools, there are a lot of other ideas scrolling through Pinterest like using pieces of PVC pipes and things to get the same type of effect.  Basically, get your hair tools organized and roll the cords.  You’re tired of wrestling the cords in the morning anyways, aren’t you?

Don’t Forget Your Brushes
We often forget that our brushes and combs need some storage too.  Using simple things like tin cans or tall pencil holders can be great ways to keep your brushes and combs together and all in the same place.  You’ve probably spend some time searching through drawers looking for these items when doing your hair.  If you keep them all together it makes it so much easier for yourself!  Keeping them up on top of the counter or even under, it all depends on your personal preference but whatever option you choose, make sure you keep them all together.

The Little Things Count, Too!
We don’t know about you but we’re notorious for losing hair ties and bobby pins, and a lot of it comes down to the fact that they’re rarely in any sort of organized manner.  If you’re anything like us, you’re ready to stop dealing with that.  Organizing all the little things like your bobby pins and hair ties is just as important as the big things.  Finding little containers are great ways to again, group the items together so they’re all in one place.  You may even want to take it a step further and label them.   If you’re not sure what types of containers to use, Pinterest has some great inexpensive ideas.
